After the 14-hour flight to Tokyo, Angie finally arrived with all the other new English teachers at the Keio Plaza hotel in downtown Shinjuku for a three-day JET Program orientation. Meanwhile, Chris managed to give his confused taxi driver directions -- in Japanese! -- and make his way to his own hotel. He then went exploring in Tokyo before we met up at night for our first Japanese karaoke.
