Arrival in Japan: Welcome to Yamagata (August
2003)
We took the high-speed shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo to Yamagata on our third day in Japan. From the train station, we went immediately to our new Japanese apartment. The next night, we went to a fun summer festival in a nearby park to meet all the neighbors.
